Real 2026 pricing — city by city
The single biggest cost driver in Colombia is which city you play in. Verified 2026 rates.
Green fees per round by city
| City | Character | Green fee (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Bogotá | Widest range · only city with public courses · 2,600m altitude | $30 – $300 |
| Cali | Lowest private-club prices · warm climate | $60 – $170 |
| Coffee Triangle | UNESCO landscape · Pereira / Manizales / Armenia region | $100 – $150 |
| Cartagena | Caribbean coast · sea-view layouts | $120 – $350 |
| Medellín | Spring-like climate year-round · rates rose sharply through 2025 | $200+ |
Weekend rates typically run above weekday because most private clubs operate member-first.
Caddies
Caddies are effectively mandatory at nearly every Colombian golf course and cost around USD 30 per round, paid in cash directly to the caddie after play. The main exception is one Cartagena course that uses electric carts with GPS instead of caddies — details on the Caribbean golf page.

How much does a Colombia golf trip cost?
Real 5-day / 4-round ground-cost examples (per person, twin share, before international flights):
- Bogotá mid-tier — ~USD 1,920
- Coffee Triangle mid-tier — ~USD 1,870
- Cartagena or Medellín mid-to-high tier — USD 2,400–4,500
- Bogotá luxury (top private clubs + 5★ hotel) — from ~USD 4,000+
The single biggest driver is the city — green fees vary from USD 30 (Bogotá public) to USD 350 (Cartagena top private). Every trip is custom-quoted.
What are green-fee ranges by city?
Verified 2026 per-round green fees: Bogotá USD 30–300 · Cali USD 60–170 · Coffee Triangle USD 100–150 · Cartagena USD 120–350 · Medellín USD 200+. Weekend rates run above weekday because most private clubs operate member-first.
Do I need a caddie? How much do caddies cost?
Yes — caddies are effectively mandatory at nearly every Colombian golf course as part of club protocol. Rates are ~USD 30 per round, paid directly to the caddie in cash after play. The main exception is one Cartagena course that uses electric carts with GPS in place of caddies (details on the Caribbean golf destination page).
What’s the best-value city for a Colombia golf trip?
Bogotá. Green fees start at USD 30 for the country’s only public courses, hotel inventory ranges from USD 50 to USD 2,000/night (the widest in Colombia), and it’s the transport hub for onward golf in the Coffee Triangle, Medellín or Cartagena. A 5-day Bogotá mid-tier trip lands around USD 1,920 per person ground cost — the same trip in Cartagena or Medellín runs 40–150% higher due to the green-fee spread.
What’s the best time of year to play golf in Colombia?
Colombia has no traditional seasons — courses are playable year-round. Best windows for lowest rainfall: December to early March and June to early September. Bogotá plays at 2,600m so temperatures stay 12–20°C year-round; Cartagena is warm-humid coastal (24–32°C); Medellín is the “eternal-spring” climate (18–24°C).
What’s included and what’s not included?
Included in a standard Pelecanus package: green fees at partner clubs, private bilingual driver + vehicle, hotels at your chosen tier, airport transfers, coordination of domestic flights between cities, and 24/7 direct contact with Frank throughout the trip.
Not included: international flights to Colombia, meals off-course, caddie fees (paid in cash at course, ~USD 30/round), and personal spending.
How far in advance should I book?
For weekend tee times at private clubs and top hotels: 90 days out is comfortable, 60 days out is workable. For weekday play and standard 3–4★ hotels, 30 days can work. Group buyouts (8+ golfers) and Christmas/New Year need 120+ days.
Is Colombia safe for a golf trip?
Yes. The three golf-dense cities (Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena) are popular international destinations with tourist zones tracking safer than the national baseline. Pelecanus recommends only areas we have personally explored. As an RNT 51402, ANATO and IAGTO-accredited operator, every trip we run is legally compliant and covered under Colombian tourism law. Verify any Colombian operator’s registration at rnt.confecamaras.co before booking.
What golf clients say
5.0 ★ · 51 verified Google reviews. Three from real Pelecanus golf clients:
“We are a group of six enthusiastic golfers and true connoisseurs from Switzerland. We have already traveled to many wonderful places around the world: Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico, the USA, Canada, Europe (Italy, Spain, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Ireland, Scotland, England), as well as Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Mauritius, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. What we experienced in Colombia in terms of hospitality, joie de vivre, culture, and nature ranks very high on our list of many best experiences. Many of the golf courses have a long history and offer golfers everything they could wish for. And when you book with Frank Spitzer, owner of Pelecanus SAS Bogotá, you can be sure that everything will go as planned. Especially if something doesn’t go quite as expected. Frank was available around the clock and resolved any minor issues promptly and professionally. And with the charm and heart of the ‘Colombian’ (he lives there, after all) and with Swiss precision.”

“I rarely write reviews, but this experience truly deserves one. If you are looking for luxury, tailor-made travel in Colombia, this is simply the benchmark. From the very first contact to the final day of the trip, everything was handled with an exceptional level of professionalism, precision, and personal care. What truly sets this experience apart is Frank, the owner. His knowledge of Colombia is on a completely different level — not just in theory, but through real, hands-on experience across the entire country. He doesn’t just design itineraries; he knows exactly what works, what doesn’t, and how to create something genuinely unique. His access to places, people, and experiences that are not easily available to others makes a decisive difference. Every detail of the journey felt carefully curated — seamless logistics, outstanding guides, beautiful accommodations, and experiences that went far beyond the expected. At the same time, everything remained flexible and adapted to our preferences along the way. This was, without exaggeration, a best-in-class experience from A to Z. If you value deep expertise, authenticity, and a truly personalized luxury journey, there is no comparison. Highly recommended.”
